Once again we have some fantastic local longhorn - this time a whole animal!  This longhorn was humanely raised in Georgetown, TX on a small family farm and was on pasture and grass-fed  it’s whole life. 

We also have half of a grass-fed cow available. Likewise it was raised on a small family homestead in Ceder Creek, TX and on pasture and grass-fed it’s whole life. 

There are 12 shares available of Longhorn and 6 shares of beef available.  Here are the hard and fast details on the shares available for both animals:

• $150
• ~25# meat 
• ~ 2/3 of share will be various cuts and  ~  1/3 will be ground
• pick-up 5PM-11PM,  July 5th @ 5211 Wasson Rd 78745

Please note that the cuts you will receive are not just the sexy cuts like NY Strip , they will run the gamut from steaks to roasts to soup bones. Get creative ya’ll!

ATXmeatshare#2 - Wild Boar 

Super last minute but we have the opportunity to get a whole wild boar tomorrow morning and am going to split it as evenly as possible - 4 ways. 

3/4 of it has already been reserved so I am looking for 1 person to commit to 1 share by tonight. 

My source is not picking up the boar from the butcher until tonight so I will not know the final cost or #s of meat however, my best estimate is that the share available will be…

~ 25lbs of wild boar meat 

~150$

I will let the person who buys the share know the exact numbers  tonight after I get the final information. 

I am picking it up tomorrow morning and pick-up will be at my house in South Austin around Noon and payment in cash or check will be exchanged at pick-up.

Sorry its been quiet on the ATXmeatshare front for a bit but we’ve got some great stuff lined up in the next couple of months! : ) 

First up is some fantastic longhorn that we are going to divide into 8 shares. This longhorn was humanely raised locally in Pflugerville, TX on a small family farm and was on pasture and grass its whole life - with a small amount of grain supplementing its diet the last 6 weeks before it was brought to slaughter. 

Here are the hard and fast details on the 8 shares available:

• $120
• 18 lbs (10 lbs ground + ~ 7lbs steak/roasts etc.) 
• pick-up on May 14th or 15th
